We are building a healthier future for women and girls by providing access to reproductive health education, support and resources in Nigeria and Africa at large. Please join us in spreading hope, helping communities, and making a difference—one small gesture at a time.
SHECARES HEALTH INITIATIVE (SHI) is a registered nonprofit organization focused on improving reproductive health awareness, access to care, and emotional support for women and young people in Nigeria and Africa at large.
SHI aims to eliminate the stigma around sexual and reproductive health issues such as PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, and more by fostering inclusive education and accessible support systems.
We believe that informed women are powerful. At SHI, we empower women with knowledge about their reproductive health, and the resources available to them — so they can make confident, healthy choices for their lives and futures.
Change starts with awareness. SHI focuses on community-based education to break myths, reduce stigma, and spark open conversations around reproductive health — reaching not just women, but families, schools, and society at large.
From awareness campaigns to access to care, we work to improve the overall reproductive well-being of women and young people. Through partnerships, screenings, and support systems, we help individuals live healthier, fuller lives.

Sponsor a school and community sensitization project
At SheCares Health Initiative, we believe that health education should start early — especially when it comes to topics many young girls are too afraid or ashamed to discuss. That’s why we launched our School outreaches, an outreach program aimed at educating female secondary school students on reproductive health issues women face such as PCOS, Fibriods, Hormonal imbalance, Endometriosis and on menstrual hygiene.
In our most recent outreach at Anglican Girls Grammar School (AGGS), Asaba, Delta State, we engaged over 350 students in an interactive reproductive health sensitization session led by certified and practicing gynecologists from the Nigerian Medical Association (Asaba Chapter), based at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Asaba
SHI distributed:
With warmth, honesty, and care, our team created a safe space where these girls could ask questions, share concerns, and learn how to manage their reproductive health and menstrual cycles with confidence.
“No one has ever taught us this before. I now feel proud to be a girl.”
— Chidinma, 14-year-old participant
We’re committed to expanding this program to more schools, more communities, and more girls — but we can’t do it alone.
You can donate to facilitate our next outreach.
Across Nigeria, and around the world — millions of women and girls silently struggle with reproductive health issues like PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, hormonal imbalances, and infertility.
For many, the problem isn’t just the illness — it’s the lack of awareness, delayed diagnosis, poor access to care, and the stigma that makes it hard to even talk about it.
At SheCares Health Initiative (SHI), we believe it’s time to change that, and we strongly believe no woman or girl should ever feel ashamed of her body, her period, or her right to health.
That’s why we focus on awareness, education, and access to reproductive health resources in underserved communities.
Through school outreach, and community health talks, we’re addressing ignorance and inequality — one girl, one woman, one family at a time.
But we can’t do it alone.
With your support, we can break the silence, end the stigma, and ensure every woman and girl has the knowledge, confidence, and tools to care for her health with pride.
Because her health matters. Her voice matters. And your support makes the difference.
